Dirty Half Dozen, Green Mountain Relay Ultra Team

The search is over!!!

Gideon has informed us that his running buddy back in Israel, Shmuel Rochin, will be joining us in Vermont. So if you had your heart set on joining us for a weekend of little sleep and much running, you will have to try to talk us into another relay, and hope that one or more members of the current team is either unavailable, or has significantly upgraded their brain, and realized that this kind of stuff is crazy and should not be attempted by human beings.

Sorry...

In other news, the process of determining who among the DHD is the biggest sucker is underway. One of the DHD will be filling each of the roles below...

Runner    Total     Elevation                   Overall
number    miles:    change:                 difficulty
1                27.4    +1334/-2604=   -1273            1
2                32.2    +1820/-1957=   -138                2
3                37.7    +3083/-2567=  +516              5
4                29.7    +2355/-1943=  +412              3
5                40.2    +4790/-2471=  +2319            6
6                30.6    +1922/-3380=  -1458              4

The rumor mill is already at work. It appears that Gideon and John are fighting for the "least sense of self preservation" award and have decided that being the 5th runner or the 3rd would be a good idea. Steve, with his exceptionally long legs and acompanying downhill proficiency, wants to be runner 6. Ray seems to be smart (why did we let him on the team?) and is seeking to be runner 2 or runner 1.

(all information provided by the rumor mill is preliminary and should not be used for any purpose at all)

More information will appear here as it becomes available...

Gideon,

"<"John Filter on">"I suggest that you ask John after he's done a long fast run. He'll have oxygen deprivation, and you can convince him to run the hardest leg."<"John Filter off">"

Good work.
